what is single camera film making?
Single camera film making is the process of filming by only using one single camera set up. This is done as it makes more interesting shots and allows the producer to be more creative.
Shooting with a single camera allows for more detailed editing, and is cheeper for production company. However filming with a single camera is more time consuming.
Narrative structure
A flashback is a non linear way of storytelling. It is when a producer get the actor to go back into there past a re-live part of it. It also can be going into a self constructed memory. In the film 'Ray' the main character is in a metal intuition and is imaging his mother and her tough love so he can get back on track. This is effective as it allows the audience to connect with a character and it is a convenient way of story telling. 500 days of summer is a non linear film this is because the events are not told in sequence. This is done to represent the jumpy relationship between the two main characters.
This is England 86
This is England 86 is a realist television program which follows the life of young teenage boys. Within it there are typical scenes that occur in day to day life, which make it realist.
So what is realist?
Realist is a production style that is use to make the scene seem as close to real life as possible. It stemmed from 'kitchen sink' dramas that is closely related to the audience's real life. The way in which this is England 86 do this, is through the use of the language, setting and clothing of the characters. For example the setting is a built up estate which many people might relate too. The teenage boys are dressed in the newest fashion which still typically happens today. Finally the language of the boys is close to what teenager use now a days. This is done to make the soap seem as close to real life as possible. This is an example of realist. Another example of a realist program is Coronation street this is because it close to everyday life. Producers choose to have there program as realist as it relates to there target target audience.
What is anti realist?
Anti realist is the opposite of realist, Productions which are antirealist are typically far fetched. For example they are usually things that don't happening in real life. An example of an anti realist program the television drama 'Sherlock'. This is because these thing don't happening in typically every day life. An example anti realist film is the Harry pottery series, this is because the event which happen are not realistic. Foe example flying on broom sticks is not possible therefore it is realist.
Endings?
Every program has an ending however some endings are different than others.
A closed ending is where the narrative threads have been tired together and the mystery or problem has been solved. This type of ending is typically seen in a series. An example of this is Sherlock, in Sherlock this ending is use to satisfy the viewers. This is because allow any of the question the viewer may have are question which leads too no further speculation of who killed who. Most films have a closed ending. An example of this is Bridesmaids. This done because within a film one story is told which results in a closed ending.
An opening ending is like a cliff hanger they allow the story to be carried on. I the TV program Eastenders this ending is almost always used. This is because it make the viewer more intrigued and they continue to watch it. Open endings keep the viewer guessing for a long period of time. In Eastenders the major open ending was who killed Phil Mitchell. Typically films dont have open ending unless they are a series. An example an open ending film is 21 Jumpstreet. This is a opening ending as the story was not complete so it was continued on 22 Jumpstreet.

My story bored created with a opening ending
In this story bored Humpty dumpty was enjoying him self sat on the wall. As he was clumsy he then fell off. The super hero gingerbread woman came flying down from the clouds and changed him into a chicken. As he was in a rough neighbourhood somebody grabbed him and began to cook him. This turned him into a chicken nugget. The wicked old lady that did this then plated him a tried to eat him. Whilst she went to get a drink Humpty dumpty contemplated running away. This is a open ending as it allows for the story to be continued.
On this website my ideas got a little bit too creative resulting in this story line.

Mise-en-scene
This is a french word that means what the eye can see.
This is a mise-en-scence from the film 'The royal tenenbaum'
It shows Margot being rebellious, This clip is a mise-en-scence because everything in the clip is there for a purpose to connote an certain expression or set a scene.
The costumes used were outfits that looked as though the had been chucked together without any thought process. This was to give Margot an "I don't care" attitude.
Within this short clip above there are many different locations, such as a back yard, a school building, and a party. This is to represent Margot character as a extrovert.
The lighting and framing within this clips changes as Margot changed scenes however the over all lighting represents Margot rebellious character. For example the light is slightly dulled with colours to a small degree muted.
Margot's facials expressions and gestures are minimal. This is again used to represent the "I don't care attitude'
The overall representation of Margot is a rebellious soul that will alway do what pleases her.

As you can see from the photo the baby Maggie is being scanned as groceries. This is suppose to be funny therefore it suggest that The Simpsons is a comedy. This is done to hint as the genre without giving the storyline away in the opening sequence.
This location is a nuclear power plant, above the main character Homer there is a sign that reads '3 days without an accident'. This is a form on irony as it suggest that an accident is on the horizon. This sign suggests that The Simpsons is a comedy because it shows that accidents often happen within the nuclear power plant.
The Simpsons made the location clear with a sign. As you can see the location is Springfield which is located in Massachusetts which is a US state. The Simpsons located the characters in Springfield because the geography of the town and its surroundings is flexible. This is because location/setting can change to address whatever an episode's plot calls for.
The first we see of the character Marge is in the grocery store. This suggest that she is the typically stay at home mum who does daily actives such as food shopping for her family. This hints at her character which is caring and loving.
The first we see of the character Homer is him at work. This suggest that he provides for the family. As previously mentioned he in stood underneth a '3 days without an accident' sign. This suggest that he is clumsy and a bit dim.
